December 27, 2019 - Popped and poured from split. This is a clear light-yellow wine. On the nose, I get butterscotch, mixed flowers, and some seabreeze. In the mouth, this is smooth and rich, leaving a finish that emphasizes the large-scaled nature of the endeavor yet is appropriately crisp. Overall, this is a fresh and well done CC, particularly given the hail and other issues with the vintage. It may not be the best one can find in white Burgundy, but it is certainly enjoyable and, at least for my tastes, better than pretty much anything one can find in California Chardonnay. 91 points.
