January 1, 2020 - Smooth and refined, palate cleansing Champagne, featuring a buttery nose of lemon, baked apple, and a touch of honey - tell-tale BdB characteristics right off the bat. Not too complex, medium-bodied, good concentration, and quite seamless, nothing out of place. A mix of citrus and nutty flavors flow across the palate to a long, suave, and expressive finish. The bubbles faded somewhat after a few minutes in the glass, so I'd say it's ready. It's quite pleasurable, but not worth the $85 price-tag (although my wife gave it a 95).

1/9/20, 9:18 PM - I drank mine in the summer. I had similar thoughts. It’s a nice bottle, but for $85 one should be buying some complexity for that amount of money. I remember thinking it’s a $60/$65 bottle.
Not sure how the vintages vary. I’ve only had this 04’ from them. They rolled out the 09’ by me. I might grab one hoping the ripe 09’ vintage brings more to the table in complexity. -

1/10/20, 7:23 PM - I'd be curious about the '09. I've only seen the '07 here, and decided to pass. I'll wait for your note RE: the '09 before I buy again!
