December 27, 2019 - Two bottles purchased on release and stored in offsite for the last few years and both were completely flawed (fermentation style that starts to lend itself towards vinegar notes). Makes me think we should be bringing the others back so we're not wasting money on storage as seems like there's been some mixed approaches with these reading old notes.

1/6/20, 8:07 PM - there is definitely an issue with this wine. The secondary fermentation just does not go away. Maybe we should return to sender?

1/6/20, 10:36 PM - I can't argue with the logic although to be honest not sure what return to sender actually does. But yes, I think we're not storing these for the long run and they might be tested and released as we go. Unfortunate. The blend for CT barrel projects was always meant to be the fun one.

1/7/20, 5:36 AM - I'm just really pissed because I bought 2 BARRELS - 50 cases. When I questioned him after he sent a test bottle he told me it was an off bottle and assured me they were all good.
I know - I should have asked for another test bottle. When the price is too good...

1/7/20, 6:09 AM - Oh no! That's awful. Yeah. And I know there were troubles with a previous project. For us it was more annoying as we bought some of the 2009 barrel project after the fact and paid like 80% more than everyone else did which felt a bit tough. So I hear you. That is a lot of wine that doesn't drink well. We split our shares so thankfully don't have so many of these.
