  January 31, 2020 - The 2017 vintage has proven extremely solid for Mike Smith portfolio of wine of Napa Valley Cabernets, the Quivet label is no exception. As previously expressed, Dark garnet purple color, currants, blackberry, dark berry fruit with good extraction for its class/ category. Very nice and more full bodied, solid with flavor and energy. This is my second favorite of the 2017 standard Napa Cab lineup of Mike Smith wines. Becklyn, at this point is the best in my opinion. 92-92+ Points.

  1/31/20, 10:11 AM - Seems to me that the 2017 Quivet napa has lightened-up some from a couple months ago. I had a bottle last weekend along with the 2016 Becklyn and 2017 Becklyn. I actually thought that the 2017 Becklyn showed the best. Not as smooth/integrated as the 2016 Becklyn but the depth/concentration and flavors were really nice. I agree with your assessment of the 2017 Becklyn. Have a nice weekend.

  1/31/20, 3:57 PM - Yes, day one didn't show as powerfully as the last bottle. This was a pop and pour experience and after a glass or so, l saved the rest. Day 2 showed much better so give it some air for maximum enjoyment. This wine is a winner for sure. Have a good weekend Badmonkey and "Go Niners".....
