    I'm struggling to recognise this from the previous two notes. for me this is austere, classic claret: limited dark fruits, some weight, lots and lots of tannin; but not very well-balanced for me at the moment. Rather different from the 2012 (qv).

    EDIT - this is interesting. About 30 minutes later (i.e. maybe 60-75 minutes after decanting) this wine changed dramatically: it became really thin (as noted below), the tannins are still there, but much reduced. Now it has nothing really to commend it; it's comparable to US$10 generic claret. It's certainly not good QPR for me at the equivalent of ~US$46/750ml.
