February 10, 2020 - Pulled from 13C and let sit vertical for 24h. Blackberry, fruit forward. Slightly disappointed as I expected greater complexity. Did not improve during 2 hours. Tannins have integrated, this wine has peaked. I don't see it getting better. Drink now.

    You left me confused.

4/17/20, 7:39 AM - To DoubleMag: (1) It's all relative. I've had BG's before that were outstanding and given the accolades this vintage received, while it was still excellent (a 93), I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't outstanding (e.g., 95+). (2) I usually try to give idea of drinking window in my notes and wines that have not yet peaked usually improves with oxidation. Since this one didn't over 2 hours and the tannin structure has dissipated, I'm thinking this wine won't get any better (at peak now), so drink now recommendation. Hope this helps.
