February 16, 2020 - 13.5% - Clear, deep purple / clean, med+ intensity - black fruit, bramble, pomegranate, spice box, dried herbs / dry, med- acidity, med chewy tannin, med body, med+ intensity, med length. Revealed itself after a good 3-4 hours of decanting. 89-90 Nice pairing with red wine braised veal cheeks.

I was about to buy some bottles 3 weeks ago when I saw your 1st notes !
So if I understand, the second seem's to be fresher ? Like if the 1st one was lightly "heat damaged" or "cooked" ? -

3/8/20, 1:08 PM - I don't think the wine was cooked, probably just a one off bottle. However, after looking at my '15 tasting notes I just realized that the La Poulosa was my least favorite of the Vizcaina from Perez. Not a bad wine, but I simply preferred the other bottlings.
