February 21, 2020 - P&P. Lacked expression initially with lower than expected intensity. Flavour profile showing grassy notes, gooseberry fruit but also citrus and lime, in addition rocky and steely mineral notes. Slightly smoky too. On the palate then just a tad oily texture to it, otherwise loads of fresh and crisp acidity, a long finish, fruity and mineral with dazzling floral and perfume notes. Linear and precise, despite a nose showing some restraint, the palate was pretty amazing from the start. But then: Constant improvement over time in the glass, becoming more and more expressive adding hay (rather than grass), much more toast and the fruit transforming entirely into lychee and a bit of passion fruit. If you can't resist, as I couldn't, and need to open a bottle now give it a 30-60min decant. Otherwise probably best to wait 2-3 years.
