  October 10, 2008 - Nice gold color. Popped and poured. Nose and taste is of tropical fruit. Decently long finish. Extremely thick and unctuous. Missing the peach and apricot flavors that I prefer in a sauternes, but quite pleasant nonetheless. Not a "wow" though. Am looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next several nights. Edited to add: on the third night in the fridge after having been opened, this had developed a taste of apricots and pineapple to go along with the tropical fruit. But the wine felt unstructured, as though it could not decide what it wanted to be.
