  3/13/20, 9:07 PM - On a more constructive note than the above, these really are not very good at this age in my experience. I'm a big fan, but right now the '11 (very good vintage) and '12 (lesser vintage) are drinking well, and the '13 is still too young. The '15, supposedly a very good vintage, likely needs 3-4 years. I buy 6-12 of these from most years so that they can age a bit. It's funny because while they are not long term agers, they definitely require a bit of time. I expect '15 will be great but won't touch until I run out of earlier vintages.

  3/14/20, 11:48 AM - '15 isn't, in my opinion, a "very good vintage" in this region; I'd say good with pockets of very good. This wine falls short of the latter, imho. The '16 of this wine is worthy of a case purchase; I own two. Comparatively, I own just 3 bottles of the '15; it will require 2-4 more years, at least. I'm here in Chianti now, and typically spend 8 weeks a year here, so I'm pretty familiar with the region/wines.

  3/14/20, 12:00 PM - Tim, I'd trust your take on it. I know from WB that you are extremely familiar with the region. I expect I'll like '16 more, and have definitely preferred '16 over '15 in Piedmont at this point. Even so, I would be surprised if I did not like the '15 of this, even if I won't try it for some time yet.
