  March 15, 2020 - This 2012 Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva is a great example of a style of Chianti that I love (and which is the antithesis of the “international” style of Sangiovese as represented by Brunello di Montalcino, at 2x-4x the price): high-toned, fragrant, medium-light body, balanced, silky, smooth, with a savory, sappy mid-palate and a sweet, mineral and long finish. It is in a perfect place right now. Excellent QPR.
