March 14, 2020 - No in depth notes. Solidly built Riserva with some tertiary aromas and early development. Dark cherries, rosehip, balsamico, raisin, worn leather, tar and liquorice. Definitely on the dark side but also with some elegant, sweet fruit in the background. Intriguing nose with depth and complexity, balanced and well made.
Powerful structure with persistent slightly drying tannins and good acidity. It's tough and firm but feels balanced and on a good path towards maturity. Young at this point but with food definitely approachable. I'm aiming for around 5 years til next bottle.
