  March 21, 2020 - PNP and then drank over 3 hours. Up against a formidable lineup of Cabs and cab francs. To my surprise was not head and shoulders above the other wines tonight. Having said this, this is an excellent. refined, modern Napa Cabernet. It has a solid nose of bramble fruit and cedar wood which is echoed on the palate. It has great glide and mouth filling fruit, which is hard to pin down but really a unique combination of blue and red. At first I described it as elderberry but not sure that quite nails it. In any event the fruit is well balanced with almost perfect acidity. Finish was very good but not outstanding.
  
  What can I say, excellent wine but certainly not the 100 pointer I was hoping for. Not even sure it was better than the 2013 Del Dotto we had as an afterthought. 96+
