  October 1, 2017 - Battle of Barbaresco, cooperative Produttori against Gaja, the king of Barbaresco. Vintages 85, 90 and 01 tasted against each other. Some fruit grasping for a breath but dies quickly in the glass. Smell of old cheese and Madeira. Had higher hopes for this one, bad storage suspected.

  If your bottle has been stored in good conditions I think it could be fantastic, always a bit of a lottery with old bottles even if they have been stored well.
