March 28, 2020 - Old vines (+100y), whole clusters, 500-l french barrels, a total 11 months in barrel. A range of varieties with Listan Negro the one who stands out.
Wild berries between red and blue. A bit volatile at pour but that swiftly goes away. Violets, herbs, rocks, a touch of spice although not as pronounced as expected. A very good nose with a coating sense of salinity above it all. Pure and direct.
The palate feels younger and far more tightly screwed. Firm mouthfeel with good youthful acidity and superfine tannins. Iron, spice, violets, wild berries and herbaceous lift. Not nearly there yet imo although it's a very interesting wine already. My guess you'd have to wait at least 5 years for a noticeable development.
