April 2, 2020 - One of those wines where Im getting so much differences from previous CT notes that I wonder if Im drinking the same bottle
Dark ruby color with minimal clearing at rim
Medium aromas of red/ black fruit and strong secondaries of candlewax and iron/ mineral elements
Medium palate of mixed fruit and violets
High amount of green tasting tannins dominate this wine
Medium acidity and medium length
I found the tannins, which are green in nature IMO, to dominate the wine at this point, making it indistinguishable as a Beaujolais
These tannins need to subside, however Im not sure if theres enough fruit here for that
Very interesting that no one has mentioned this in previous tasting notes
Dont think this is bottle variation or a stage in development - just not sure1 person found this helpful 1,173 views
