April 11, 2020 - Day 3 (no notes from day 1/2). Very open, dark forest fruit on the nose with hint of oak. Super smooth on the palate, just a hint of fresh acidity. Complex on the mid palate, with more dark fruit, blackcurrent and prune. Moderately long finish, rich and full, with a whisper of tannin at the very end. Another lovely bottle of a fantastic wine that shows that the barossa has world class fruit that can do stylish and eligent as well as big and bold. This wine is eligent but with a nod to the big and bold history of the region. In my view up there with the best Syrah has to offer.
