April 12, 2020 - This is a massive wine that needed at least three hours in the decanter to shed some tannins and open up. Hard to get past the tannins, but the wine did show a nice core of fruit that seems to be hiding a bit for now. I agree with others that this is a wine that should be held for a while, but if drinking anytime soon, decant for at least 3 hours, if not more before starting consumption, or drink over a few nights.

4/12/20, 5:17 AM - I like the name of this heavy weight. Where did you buy it?

4/12/20, 5:25 AM - Purchased directly from the winery (Robert Young Estate Winery - ryew.com). While this is the '14, it looks like they have the '15 on their website for sale. You may want to call them and inquire about availability on the '14, if interested.

Also, get on their mailing list. They sell this via pre-order every January for a discount (20% off). Then the price goes up to the retail price ($95). Wine is released/shipped around October.
