I understand this is a solara production, therefore a blend of young and aged wine. Perhaps there is an issue with blending? I believe all of the bottles I have had are from the recent release (though I can not prove it). The bright examples, while okay, are nothing special, but the bottles with more of an aged character are certainly great values.
