April 16, 2020 - Deep deep garnet in color. On the nose, there are notes of creme de cassis, milk chocolate, sweet tobacco and savory herbs. Ripe but dry on the palate. I honestly expected a jammier wine. Acid is medium, and also slightly higher than I expected. Tannins are medium (-), mouthfeel is silky. Alcohol is high but is balanced on the mid-palate. It's only perceivable towards the end. The finish is long, warm and embracing. Drink now and within the next five years.

This wine definitely delivered and I am glad I waited as it spent over twelve years in my cellar. It has turned into something exquisite.
