May 3, 2020 - Stored in a climate-controlled cellar since purchase upon release. This was in a good place. It wasn't corked, but there was a "woody" element on the nose that never completely dissipated. Beyond that, the bouquet exhibited a lovely ensemble of honeyed, tropical fruits (orange, apricot, and peach), followed by a dense (almost viscous), oily textured mouthfeel loaded with rich and ripe expressions of the same fruit. It was fairly dry, but the richness to the fruit coupled with the 15% alcohol (which was never too prominent) lent a certain sweetness on the palate (though not in terms of residual sugar) which contributed to the impressive length on the finish. As other tasters have noted, it is relatively low on acidity, but that did not detract too much from the experience. It's drinking well! I'd say there's no immediate hurry, but I'm not sure how much better it'll get...
