April 28, 2020 - This Chardonnay was deep gold in colour with pronounced aromas of thick movie theatre popcorn, caramel or burnt toffee, and hints of nuts and earth. Flavours were complex and included molasses, almond, and movie popcorn—almost like an old fashioned gingerbread cookie. This was full-bodied and dry. Acidity was low and a bit flat, but the finish was long and smooth.

In many ways this reminded me of a Sherry. It had a bitter aftertaste and is likely past its prime, but what a great value to get a 10 year old Chardonnay for $25 CAD. If you still have this in your cellar, I'd recommend drinking it now.
