May 5, 2020 - I thought this '14 would be ready, like the Cimarossa from earlier tonight, but it's not. Not even after an hour of air. Nice lead pencil nose, but, it's not in its optimum window yet.....this has class and mountain berry fruit, blue and red. It still has a significant acidic streak and drying tannins, both begging for another 2-3 years at least. Powerful but young. Not ready yet. Hold.

5/5/20, 7:20 PM - Thanks Mark. I have been letting all of my veeders from O’Shaughnessy rest. Love drinking the Howell mountains on the younger side but feel like the veeders need more time in general. Thanks for taking one for the team

5/5/20, 7:31 PM - jim, I was really torn...had a Howell Mtn Cimarossa earlier in the evening and almost pulled my '14 O'Shaughnessy HMtn, too.......the Veeder was good, but I think the HM would have been a better match to compare against the Cimarossa. Cheers!

5/6/20, 4:09 PM - srh......I'm cellaring and drinking some '07s and '08s of these currently and they are doing very well. I simply was in the mood for another '14 last night after drinking the '14 Cimarossa. This Veeder needs another 2-3 years at least. Cheers! Mark
