Community Tasting Note

May 15, 2020 - PnP, but better after 15 - 20 minutes of slo-ox to allow the funk to blow off and the wine to open. Nice nose of cedar, red fruit, and a touch of floral. The medium bodied palate showed the red fruits (cherry and raspberry), along with wood notes, and touches of mineral, chocolate, and earth. The acidity was balancing and the finish was medium to plus. A nice effort that could hold for several more years, with a great QPR at $14.

7/5/20, 5:27 PM - You'd have a better experience if you let it breathe 3-4 hours, based on my experience with this vintners over 30 years. Just saying. Breathing is everything with European wines, but once they get to 10 + years, open to breathe only an hour or two before.

7/9/20, 11:27 AM - Thanks for the info - I'll keep it in mind. This is why it is so helpful for those who actually write Tasting Notes to include info on aeration.
