  May 27, 2020 - Finally opened up my last bottle of MDR. I've been putting off this day for as long as possible but CT says the "drink by" date has come and gone. Whatever... I think this wine could go another year or two.
  
  Given that this was Burt Williams last MRD vintage (and this was my last bottle) I held out for a long as I could before opening it. The wine was a solid effort and is best characterized as a classic north coast Cali pinot noir. The nose still has lots of fruit and the overall feel was smooth and easy to drink. Lots of fruit with a tinge of acidity. I wish I had another bottle or two lying around, but c'est la vie!
