May 30, 2020 - This was not nearly as interesting as a bottle a few months ago. Acceptable, some minerality.

6/7/20, 6:19 PM - I see your review where you found the minerality too invasive. Frankly, that is what I liked about the first bottle I opened. I didn't know what to expect, and frankly I bought 4 bottles for $5 each from a local store that was clearing them out. The first bottle was "remarkably balanced, with a fair amount of acidity. There is earth, red fruit and wild mushroom. It is lively and structured, with only the finish showing some anise and a big profile."
The second bottle was substantially less interesting, with only some minerality. For both bottles, I did not find the minerality to be a negative.

6/8/20, 9:06 AM - I usually enjoy it. The Weiskopf Touche-Mitaine's got a nice tickle to it, and a Boston shop sold the Rustenberg 2018 chenin for $5 per a few months back. Maybe if the Gratallops' alcohol was dialed back to 13 or 12.5, the minerality would (for me) seem less contradictory to it's essence. But that's why Suckling gives a wine 99 and Parker only gives it 97, as the saying goes
