Community Tasting Note

  • Big Juicy Red Does not like this wine:

June 3, 2020 - Completely closed. No nose at all, and almost no taste for the first hour. At 90 minutes after opening there was a bit of spice and a strong bite of alcohol (I know it’s only 13.5%), but that’s about it. If I tasted this blind I couldn’t even tell what varietal it was. I’m disappointed, and hoping maybe this is an off bottle, as I’ve got 2 more.

6/4/20, 8:05 AM - I had a similar experience. Perhaps my least favorite of Wind Gap wines which I have tasted. One left. I will see.

6/4/20, 9:15 AM - This is the first pinot of theirs I've had, so I'm glad it's not just me. I tried one of their Chardonnays several years ago, and remember liking it.
