  June 19, 2020 - Ok not the gewurztraminer I was expecting. In fact this wine made me nervous. It was unsettled out of the bottle: toast and then almond and then apricot and then honey and then honey melon, and sweet Jesus I had to set it aside and switch to Merlot for a little while to calm down. Also this weird aftertaste like a hospital ward (band aid, chemical something) that wafts in and then it's gone. Even a breath of onions. Not zippy, not citrusy, not clean nor sharp nor dry. No. Full of halftastes and swirling flavors. I should be excited? This is an adventure? Day 2, it has settled down now: lychee it is. Semisweet.
