  July 2, 2020 - Earthy, spicy, and musty aromas dominate the nose on this one; so much so that Pinot Noir is the last thing on your mind while enjoying the aromas. This wine is showing so well after 15-20 minutes of breathing. On the palate, the body has a good weight, with darker fruit notes that shine through -- currant, black cherry and pomegranate. Still plenty of acidity, but it's well integrated. A medium finish wraps things up and leave you wanting more. I really enjoyed this one for how different it was; not a typical Pinot by any stretch. Better on night #2.
