July 13, 2020 - Sadly not as fresh as I had hoped. A little bit of apple sauce varnish nose. Decent acidity and a little unctuous.

It is still crisp (well, at least as of last year) and has consistently been on the lighter weight, more elegant side for Frédéric Emile. Sounds as though your bottle was oxidized.

7/27/20, 7:24 AM - My bottle last night more or less met that description. Oxidized enough that one person found it undrinkable; for me it was just this side of the drinkability line - actually a little aged/oxidized apple character didn't play badly with super spicy Sichuan, and it retained some cut and a nice petrol nose. But waiting much longer to uncork this bottle would've put it squarely in the "too oxidized for anyone" quadrant.

It may be down to storage conditions. For the record, mine was acquired from a reputable retailer (but who really knows its exact history) in 2013 and spent the last 7+ years at ~56F in a Le Cache.
