July 16, 2020 - Dark ruby purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The viscosity indicates medium alcohol content and perhaps apt for the vintage. The nose is attractively perfumed giving off lilacs, bell peppers, smoked herbs and toasted oak coating the black fruits. The palate is full-bodied, savory, brimming with enough acidity to carry the ripe blueberry, plums, and mineral-filled earth all the way to the medium plus finish laced with dusty tannins and Asian spices. Drink now until 2032. 91+
