Community Tasting Note

  July 29, 2020 - I was recommended buying this wine by a MW as a "bargain".
  He also told me to wait 6 or 7 years to try it.
  But I couldn't wait.
  I've double decanted it and will see how it evolves over the evening.
  Initial reaction is blimey.
  Immediately after decanting funky, farmy, spicy on the nose, damson colour, quite soft tannins for a young wine with a fresh, clean finish. A bit disjointed at this stage.
  I enjoyed it so much I forgot to update my later-in-the-evening tasting note.
  It's not for everyone but I found it beguiling.

  8/1/20, 6:16 PM - The recommendation from the MW is an excellent one...but it’s not a style that everyone will appreciate. This wine is an incredible deal. Great wine, competing with much more expensive wines...unfortunately a style that 90% of my family and friends don’t like:) If you’re not into “natural wines”, it’s not a style you’ll like. Can’t wait to see how it will evolve. Cheers!
