August 2, 2020 - Chilled, then decanted prior to a dinner of grilled thick cut, boneless pork chops, and grilled tri-colored peppers, onions and mushrooms. Clear, medium purple color, full body, medium alcohol. Pronounced aromas and flavors of purple flowers, tart black and blueberry fruit, chocolate, iron, and subtle mixed herbs. Youthful, and fresh showing mostly primary flavors and some terroir infused iron, no signs of greenness or telltale tobacco at this juncture. Fruits are still tart, due to the notable acidity. Long, mouth puckering finish. Upside potential with additional cellaring. If enjoyed short term, this requires decanting and hearty food.

8/27/20, 1:36 PM - And all that for circa $15. The wines from this producer consistently over-deliver and at the table they clown many wines at 2-3x the price.
