August 25, 2020 - Has lost a lot of its complexity and fun in the bottle, indicating it’s either closed right now or heading over the hill. Cellar stored since release and splash decanted prior to serving. Notes of cola, blackberry and a bramble finish. Nice enough. But I’m neutral on this one.

8/27/20, 4:39 PM - I have been sorely disappointed in many of my Tablas Creek wines to the point I stopped buying them. I still have this one set down and your comment does not give me hope! Cheers,

8/28/20, 9:40 AM - I haven't opened this specific wine in a while, but my sense is that many of the 2012 reds (and 2013s) are in a closed phase. But I do think that patience will be rewarded; they're all pretty young by Rhone standards. I'd give your other bottles a couple of years. -Jason Haas, Partner & GM, Tablas Creek

9/1/20, 3:21 PM - Thanks, Jason. And along those lines, I really appreciate the vintage chart you produce and update quarterly. It’s really helpful.
