November 21, 2008 - Very powerful and deep for a Cote du Rhone. I could smell the aroma of cassis from across the table. On the palate, solid earthy cherry fruit with waves of flavor. Not too complex. Well balanced. Very big. Unlike any other vintage of this cuvee I have had. Long finish with very ripe tannins. Drink now and over the next 3yrs for the fruit. Has to be the best they have ever made. 2007 Rhone is Like 2005 Bordeaux and Burgundy. The top Rhone wines should blow us away......
