September 2, 2020 - Quite open from the start. Dark and heavy, almost rhone like or piedmonte. Typical for the 2006 vintage it has lots of tannins and a dark (not very elegant) fruit. It is however one of the better D'angervilles today as most other vintages from 1996-2005 is totally closed down. The finish is very long carried by a tasty acidity. This is a real food wine, would pair wonderfully with Boeuf Bourguignon or venison.
