September 5, 2020 - This wine is surprisingly brooding. Drank over two days. Spicy red fruits with a bright red color. Although not on the Pommard side of Volnay, it definitely has a brooding iron-like minerality. The tannins are a bit more prominent than many Volnays. It’s my first of six.
