  September 6, 2020 - Only had time for a 2 hour decant on this one and it definitely would have benefited from another hour or three. Palmer always performs so well in 'average' vintages and the '04 is no exception. Lovely Margaux flowered perfume on the nose with dark fruit and a little vegetal evolution. The tannins never got in the way of this wine so it is in the drinking window. Ideally, I would give it another 3 - 5 years. The last sip was spectacular: quintessential left bank Bordeaux.
