September 17, 2020 - When it was first opened, the wine had a very bitter finish. After being decanted for around 2 hours, the bitterness had disappeared and the wine fleshed out. While the wine is not yet complex, it has a sweet quince fruit character about it. The wine's color is still very dark with no amber at the edges, so some additional time in the bottle shouldn't hurt. With decanting, it is quite pleasant at the moment but I think that there are better things to come.
