October 19, 2020 - Drank with my wife at bar Pigalle to celibrate life. First time ever I drink Dom Perignon and it's funny because the wine was exactly the way I thought it would be according to all the good tasting notes here. Here are some notes from my blurry memory.

Very elegant, muted upon opening with clean and stylistically pure character. Fresh pears, almond icing and white flowers on the nose. With some time in the glass a more complex body started to emerge. Sweet liquorice, vanilla ice cream, lemon sorbet and viols.

Creamy, smooth on the palate with no signs of that razor sharp -08 acid some wines have. Yes vanilla ice cream and fresh pears here as well but but a slight hint of that sweet liquorice. Empowered body with huge complexity and I was surprised that this was drinking so well at this early stage.

Was even better than I would expected. We had the best night together in many years and this bottle really pushed us up there! Like someone said before "any comparison to Moet & Chandon is laughable". I agree.
