  October 17, 2020 - Year-over-year this is such a solid wine and this vintage is no exception...and my favorite since 2010.
  
  Pop and pour, consumed over two days; fresh, ripe fruit right off the bat, with a crunchiness and tartness I've come to expect, but a little more in the background than other vintages; this is similar to the 2015 in being more fruit-forward, but the 2017 is more focused, round and balanced and not so much in your face; tart red cherry, raspberry and baking spice; tannins are present but very much under control; wonderfully bright acid zip as usual; excellent value
