November 29, 2020 - I opened a bottle of the Chehalem Pinot Noir, D blend (OG 70D?) and enjoyed it. It is ridiculously young and has not put on the weight or flesh that I am sure it will in a year or maybe two. At the moment, it is a ruby tinged, mid weight, nicely balanced Pinot showing red fruit, good acids, some minerality and some clove driven spice. I’d give it a solid B/B+ and would say that at $20 it is fairly priced. As the wine gets sorted it may well offer even more enjoyment.
