    December 12, 2020 - Novice to this type so lucky to have enjoyed this! Bouquet of complex aromas including tar rose, clay pot with flavors of cherry, menthol/mint and leather, tomato and spice. Medium to full body and still quite tannic though very enjoyable at the same time with an excellent length. I have a case and this is my second glass but I have a feeling this won't last long in my hands as this is tempting. Near peak though probably has some room to evolve further. 92-93

I think they are very enjoyable and you can let it mature in your glass itself as you see the change from the first sip to the last and then for subsequent glass(es) you can decide . A pinot noir type glass might be good or an aroma collector and pour maybe 100ml so it decants in your glass. Maybe I should edit as by quiet tannic I probably meant that it still has ageing potential. I also tasted a cab from 2016 from Beringer today and may have been influenced by it as I was writing. That one is definitely going to the cellar. I would be hesitant in decanting the whole bottle for more than 30 minutes until you get a feel for this in the first few glasses as this is 20 years old and may not like more than an hour of decanting.
