  December 14, 2020 - PnP. Very pleasantly surprised with this one. Was rather expecting it to be over the hill, but even the initial nose on opening was very enticing. Blackcurrant, with a hint of spice and classic Bordeaux cigar box. Good acidity on the palate, quite full, but the 14% alcohol was well balanced and in no way overpowering. Tannins well integrated until the relatively short finish where they get a bit drying. Overall for a wine I had few expectations for I was quite impressed. I usually struggle to “get” Bordeaux, I’d be happy to drink this again.
