January 4, 2021 - I was struck by the deep yellow color highlighted with gold. For a moment I wondered if the wine was a German auslese! But the nose confirmed its Chablis status: citrus (lemon and grapefruit) rind, yellow delicious apple, acacia flower and flint around the edges. In the mouth the wine is a bit rounder than the typical young Chablis but the lemon, lime, apple and sea-soaked saline flavors had sufficient cut and definition to denote its origin. For a wine of this age the flavors are still quite energetic and this energy enlivens the medium finish. While delightful and delicious in its own right I think it would be even better with food. 91+ points.
