  January 22, 2021 - I hope this is just closed but it is kind of harsh and austere at the moment. Dark black cherry, smoke, meat and earth. The palate is somewhat unforgiving with lots of oak, acidity and tannin. I feel like I usually can sense the power and potential beneath a closed wine but this just seems a bit thin. It’s not a bad wine, there’s just nothing to suggest that it might evolve into something great.
