January 23, 2021 - I opened this bottle based on recent reviews of flawed or oxidized bottles from too much age.

However, that was not the case with this bottle as it was quite delicious. The nose was faint forest berry fruit with lots of herbaceous funk, iron, and faint menthol.
In the mouth, the texture was divine as the tannin is fully resolved leaving a silky sensation as it glides across the palate. Wild strawberry and subtle raspberry and cranberry are generous up front and enlivened by decent acidity before iron, iodine, and other earthly flavors mingle with the decaying fruit on the long finish.

As often happens with good cru Bojo, it evolves into a wine very reminiscent of cru level Burgundy in both weight and flavors. This bottle did not disappoint in that regard.

Overall, I think I opened this bottle right at the perfect time for me as it is still young and fruity, but has now developed some of that funk. I think well-stored bottles that are not inherently flawed should make it close to 2030.
