January 24, 2021 - Fantastic. Big nose of black fruit, stewed prunes, leather, tar. Full bodied, jammy (after an hour decant), but one fault is maybe do not decant. Two hours later it faded and was not delivering the punch it did at one hour. I'd say this is drinking great right now, but just pop and pour. I would not hold this for more than a couple of years.

1/25/21, 6:59 AM - Thanks. I appreciate your notes also. It's great to be able to find reliable experiences with the BC wines we love. I was going to open a Similkameen Collective consensus 2014 last night, but decided to go with the Grand Total. I've always loved the Grand Total, but as I said, this one started evaporating on me when usually they just get better and better as the evening wears on.

Will definitely open a ‘16 GTR soon. DV, I’ve extended an invite to Vino Loco post-pandemic to attend a Sunday afternoon tasting next time they’re in Victoria.
