January 26, 2021 - Beautiful garnet color with a tinge of orange at the rim. Has a classic tuscan nose with some balsamic notes, earth, and truffle. Occasional touch of red fruit. There is nice acidity up front, medium + and a harmony of red fruit, leather, and tart cherry. It's so integrated and smooth, but there is a firm but soft tannic finish. I think the previous notes describing raisins may have been an issue with provenance or storage. This wine is beautifully smooth and crisp. It really seems to trend towards a classic Brunello. Really a delicious wine without any decanting.
