January 27, 2021 - Leaf Day - pours gold from the bottle. Nose of chalk, dried white flowers (orange blossom), mandarin orange, wild honey and cantaloupe. On the palate, it’s rich and honeyed with bright acidity, a pleasant mouth filling textural oiliness, with flavours of melon, Meyer lemon, white flowers, and just a hint of honey on the back palate. The finish shows a bit of bitterness which is the reason I didn’t rate it a 90 but it’s a pleasant bitterness that’s cranberry like. The finish is quite short surprisingly and it carries the bitterness along with lemon, and dried melon. Definitely a should have been enjoyed a few years ago wine but it has held up well. This was a found in the cellar wine - thought I only had two but apparently there was another.

Yes, bitterness on CB is not pleasant. Perhaps they picked these too quick?

Look forward to your next cellar find. 😃
